So you want to know more about us. Well it all started one day way back when, when my ol' pappy Chaim was sitting on the front porch staring at the corn fields. The majestic yellows of the sun's brilliant rays shining off the stalks. Yes indeed, it all started that fine summer day.

He didn't run a store out of that old cottage, no, but it was all there in his mind's eye, a vision so clear he needed a glass of lemonade just to have him seeing again. "What if we could bring to the world a place where you could get everything a photographer ever needed at the world's lowest prices," he said out loud, though no one was listening. "A place where the crisp clean airy emulsions smelled like the salt in the ocean. Ah, what a refreshing thought," he mumbled as he finished his last gulp of lemonade.

"We'll have it all, Film in all formats, paper in all finishes, books, Lowe Pro bags, bulk loaders, disposable cameras, mailers, Tiffen filters, batteries, bulbs, cameras and more." The more he thought the more excited he got, until he finally jumped up out of his seat yelling, "World, here we come!." And then as the summer air began to fill his lungs he stopped for a moment. Then, with all the energy his body could muster, he screamed, "Get ready for The Film Shop." Yep, right there is the way it all began.

And every now and then , when staring at the yellow in our Film Shop Logo ol' pappy gets a tear in his eyes thinking about them ol' corn fields and our humble beginning. So when the sun sets deep in the sky and your mind's feelin' right, come have a glass of lemonade with ol' pappy and me, right here, at The Film Shop.
